Prachi Desai

Prachi Desai was born on September 12, 1988.She is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood movies and is best known for her role as Bani Walia in the Hindi television drama Kasamh Se which aired on Zee TV.


Prachi Desai was born in Surat, Gujarat. She studied in St Joseph Convent, Panchgani and completed her schooling till 10th grade in Surat. Then she went to Pune for higher studies. . Her present residence is in Lokhandwala, Mumbai with her mother, Ameeta Desai, and her siblings. She maintains a close intimate relationship with her mentor and close personal friend Ekta Kapoor. In a short span of time she attained success in Hindi serials and is now a successful Bollywood film actress. Apart from being a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 and Kasamh Se, in which she played the main role of "Bani", she has also worked in another serial, Kasauti Zindagi Kay where she played the cameo of Prachi Desai. In Kasamh Se she essays the role of Bani. Most recently she featured in the popular celebrity dance competition show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 in which she was first voted out, but after coming back as a wildcard entrant she went on to create history and won the show winning the heart of million audiences.

Acting was her passion since childhood - her father and uncle had done various Gujarati plays - but she started with a short modelling workshop. She went to Pune for higher studies and had almost finished her junior college when her pictures were sent to Balaji Telefilms and she got a call for an audition for Kasamh Se. She had just turned 17 when her career began on Kasamh Se and left her studies for a while. She is now continuing with her correspondence course. She has also starred in her first movie Rock On !! which was released on August 29, 2008 and Farhan Akhtar as her co-star.

Shruti Hassan

The album from Ilayaraaja, which was critically praised, won Haasan accolades for her efforts with reviewers, Screen India praising that she "has the makings of a good singer, and with some training she should go great guns".
After pursuing a career in singing, Shruti Haasan branched out a career into modelling. She started by starring appearing in the Frappe! magazine version of September 2007, since then she has gone on to appear in Verve.
In 2000, Haasan made her cinematic debut in the Tamil and Hindi bilingual film, Hey Ram, directed by her father. She made a cameo appearance as the daughter of Vallabhai Patel in the biopic of Mahatma Gandhi.After rejecting prominent film offers, most notably the lead role in Venkat Prabhu's Saroja, reports suggested in late 2007 that Haasan was set to make her full debut as a heroine in 2008 with a movie opposite Madhavan directed by Nishikanth Kamath.Despite Madhavan admitting that the news "was premature",she signed up to the film, which was titled, Endrendrum Punnagaionly to be stalled prior to production.Eventually Haasan signed up to Soham Shah's Luck opposite Imran Khan, a Bollywood film.
